Christopher Robert Evans (born June 13, 1981) is an American actor from the United States. In his first television appearances Evans portrayed parts including Opposite sex in 2000. In 2005, following appearances as a character in Not Another Teen Movie and Fantastic Four (and its sequel Fantastic Four Rise of the Silver Surfer 2007) The actor was recognized for playing the Marvel Comics hero the Human Torch. Evans has also been featured in movie versions of comics and graphic novels TMNT (2007), Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2009), Snowpiercer (2003). Alongside his character as Steve Rogers/Captain America, Evans gained recognition through his appearances in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies Captain America: The First Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2015) as well as Captain America: Civil War. As a result of his Marvel film work, he was one of the highest paid actors around the globe.
